About the Author
Michael Doyle is a poet/artist who lives in Bourne, Massachusetts with his wife and three children. He chronicled his world within the pages of his poetry journal for the past three decades, finding solace in the freedom of expression in free verse, allowing to be both creative and raw in his exploration of life’s obstacles and blessings. Within the last ten years, he navigated his own path. embracing the births of his children, divorce, marriage, an epilepsy diagnosis, two TIA’s, and his father’s battle with COPD that ended in March 2022. His father, a Vietnam veteran and United States Marine, serves as an emotional backdrop to his poetic journey. Throughout the last ten years of his father’s life, Doyle documented his experiences with brutal honesty, confronting themes of death, mental health. America’s zeitgeist, anger, grief, and family dynamics.
His writing is majorly influenced by literary figures such as Jim Carroll, Saul Williams, and Charles Bukowski.
